Instructions For Use:

Under MIL-PRF-13803B compliant inspection conditions, hold the paddle adjacent to the optical element subject to inspection. To visually compare surface imperfections from the optical element, determine the dimension of the imperfection utilizing the incremental scaled on the paddle. Scratches are to be compared to the scale examples shown on the vertical bars, look for the label "Scratches" on the left side of the paddle when facing the operator. Digs are to be compared to the round scale examples immediately below the vertical bars, look for the label "Digs" on the left side of the paddle when facing the operator.

 

Cleaning Instructions:

Remove any debris from the S/D Comparator using compressed air only. Keep the S/D Comparator away from all solvents and inside the protective case when not in use.

How do I get the Comparator certified?

You can get your comparator certified by contacting a suitable company and mailing your equipment to them for certification. Contact RPO for recommendations.

Can I request a sample?

At this time we do not offer samples. If you require less than our MOQ, please contact RPO for alternative options to purchase low volumes.

What is the current packaging option?

The packaging is made from a protective, scratch-free material that is soft, acid-free, and breathable.

How often should I order a replacement?

The RPO Scratch/Dig Comparator is intended for regular use in a manufacturing environment. With typical wear and tear, the comparator is expected to exhibit best performance over 6 months to 1 year of regular use. To ensure continued accuracy in surface quality inspections, we recommend ordering replacements within this timeframe. 

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we do ship internationally!

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

Shipping time will vary depending on the quantity you order. Orders less than 250 will on average take 1-2 weeks. Orders of 250 up to 499 may take 3-4 weeks. For quantities of 500 and beyond, please call for current lead times.

If you need delivery by a specific date, or sooner than initially requested, please contact your representative.

For international shipments, please expect delivery time to be longer due to transit.
