EO system integration; Design, Prototype, Test & Production

RPO has vertically integrated assembly capabilities to deliver high quality, superior performance electro-optical (EO) systems and sub-systems.

Design

RPO's experienced engineering department includes some of the top engineers from US Defense Night Vision and Thermal Imaging Systems programs whose expertise encompass system modeling, sensor integration, mechanical, optical, electronic and software design. RPO has extensive experience in designing EO sub-systems for both commercial and military law enforcement applications. Intimately familiar with optimized optical assembly designs for integration with visible sensors through cooled mid-wave to long wave infrared focal plane arrays, RPO is uniquely experienced to optimize optical designs for EO application.

Prototyping

RPO has a dedicated and fully staffed prototype group for proof of concept and initial demonstration hardware. RPO can generate 3D models and rapid prototypes for review and ergonomic evaluation. We use experienced and qualified vendors for rapid turnaround and high quality materials.

Testing

RPO's electro-optical system test & measurement capabilities ensure thorough, qualified EO integration & performance assessment. RPO utilizes advanced test software, multispectral collimators, and test sources with customized targets to ensure EO sub-assembly qualification, and RPO's Defense expertise ensures design and test criteria accounts for common Department of Defense (DoD) test requirements for system reliability, environmental test criteria and Mil-standard compliance.

Manufacturing

RPO believes EO sub-systems must be designed for manufacturing from initial inception. Agile, cellular manufacturing and vertical integration ensures RPO can optimize customer designs for manufacturing from conception whilst addressing challenges upstream to ensure reliability, performance and On Time Delivery. RPO is capable of qualifying a design through low rate initial production into high volume / full rate production.
