History

In September 2005, Rochester Precision Optics, LLC (RPO) acquired optical manufacturing, coating, assembly and test assets from Kodak Optical Imaging Systems (KOIS).

In October, 2005, RPO acquired the 850 John Street facility in West Henrietta, NY (just south of Rochester) and began renovations required to install the equipment and conduct manufacturing operations. Production equipment was relocated to the John Street facility in December, with manufacturing operations beginning in January, 2006.

At Rochester Precision Optics, the owners are committed to the success and growth of the company, investing over $10 million in site improvements and equipment for the 64,500 square-foot facility. RPO is dedicated to customer satisfaction and a professional work environment where employees are deeply concerned about product quality, timely delivery, and efficient operations.
