Rochester Precision Optics is organized to serve the commercial and defense markets. Our strength is in our ability to meet the requirements of these markets by providing “Engineered solutions”.
RPO's Defense Business Unit provides optical assemblies
using many of our advanced technologies such as
precision molded aspheres. Aspheres increase
performance and dramatically reduce weight and
size which is a large benefit to our soldiers. We apply
our glass and plastic molding technologies into the
latest and most demanding thermal imaging and night vision (I2) applications such as eyepieces and complex objectives. Rochester Precision Optics is ITAR registered, TAA and Export trained and compliant.
RPO’s Commercial Business Unit provides products and services to a wide variety of commercial & industrial markets including Health/Medical, Biometrics, Mapping, Transportation, Security and a multitude of others. Our capabilities allow us to assist customers in all aspects of the optical design/ build process. Our “in-house” Design & Engineering team uses sophisticated design tools to turn simple as well as complex ideas and concepts into Engineered Solutions. Our highly skilled manufacturing team uses state of the art equipment to produce prototypes, first articles and production quantities. Our global supply chain, including our wholly owned subsidiary POTC (located in Shanghai China), allows us to source materials and components from the very best off-shore suppliers. We leverage our complete suite of RPO capabilities to meet the demanding requirements of our customers in the commercial and industrial markets. |
